Our Mission and Vision

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
- Proverbs 22:6

Desiring to reach our city for Christ, and believing that teaching Christian values at an early age equips children to remain on a Godly path throughout their lives, Faith Bible Chapel leaders prayerfully determined that many children could be reached for Christ through a daycare ministry.

The Sonshine Center was established and opened in 1994 as an outreach ministry. We provide a daycare program committed to the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual development of children. We believe that we can reach parents and children for Christ by ministering to the children entrusted to us.

The Sonshine Center programs are developed to meet children's individual needs through positive group experiences, as well as, individualized attention for each child.

As stated in the history of the Sonshine Center, we desire to reach our city for Christ, and we believe that teaching Christian values at an early age equips children to remain on a godly path throughout their lives. We hold to the belief, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

Our primary goal is to provide quality childcare in a loving and secure Christian environment. We desire that all children in our care experience the love and security found in the family of Christ.

"So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands." - Psalm 78:6-7

What Proud Parents say...

Valerie and Gino Malara

It has been 4 years of pure bliss having our two children in your care. Each and every day, we took comfort knowing that when we dropped our children off in your arms, that your expertise, your mothering, your daily care, your discipline, your faith in God were guiding our children through the day. To the head teachers, thank you for leading our children and the other teachers at such a skilled level. Thank you for always being there for us, answering our questions and concerns, listening to us and teaching us how to work together, with you, as a team for our children. Our children want you to know that because of you, as they embark on their new path as "big girls" it is because you gave them love, attention, tender loving care, and guidance. They have flourished in your care.  This is the best center in Colorado and the staff are part of the reason why. You run this center like a business that loves children and it shows in all that you do.

What a wonderful time our family had last night at the "Christmas Program." We would be remiss if we did not commend you and your staff for all the time and effort put into showing all of the families what shining stars our children are! We hope this little note of appreciation helps to express how thankful we are to have wonderful people to care for and enrich the lives of the children and families at the Sonshine Center.

In Christ,

My family and I have been blessed by the ministry of the Sonshine Center and the Preschool teachers. The teachers have such a dedication to their classrooms and to seeing that each child performs to the best of his or her ability. We have had such wonderful crafts completed in the classrooms that we will keep forever. Both of my boys were so grieved to leave the teachers when they were too old to stay. The preschool staff are treasures and we are grateful that they were there to bless our children!
